Is a project first launched by Maldon Town Council in 1998 is supported by Maldon District Council, community groups and local businesses. This year as a Town Centre initiative, July will become "Maldon in Bloom" month.

Can anyone enter Maldon in Bloom?

Yes, - providing you are a resident of the Town. All you need is somewhere to display your flowers, which could be your front garden, a container or the front of your business premises. There are prizes or certificates for a whole range of categories, so just take a look at these web-pages and see how you can help your Town to once again become a "Blaze of Colour" and "Burst into Bloom" this summer.

How do I enter?

Choose the category or categories (SUMMER Button Below), you wish to enter and fill in the entry form obtainable from Maldon Town Hall. Return your completed form either by post or in person to Maldon Town Hall.

Summer Competition:     Friday   5th June 2009

Judging


The MALDON in BLOOM judges will be touring the town in late June to judge each category.
Prize winners will be selected and notified in early July.

Unfortunately back gardens or features located in a back garden and not easily visible from the road cannot be included in the competition as the judges will arrive unannounced.

Some of the entries will represent Maldon
in the regional "Anglia in Bloom" 2009

competition for which the whole Town will be judged during July.

Entry into the competion will entitle you to a "one off" discount of 10% at the Emporium, High Street, Maldon on all items purchased from thair garden centre. (Proof is required).

We need you to help us to keep the whole town clean, tidy, colourful and a pleasant environment for all those who live here.

Summer event of the year!
