With reference to the Planning Committee, to consider suspending Standing Order 37(b) for the municipal year 2007-08 as the Deputy Mayor does not wish to take up his ex-officio place on that Committee. BUCKINGHAM PALACE GARDEN PARTY
Notification has been received from the EALC regarding the allocation of tickets for the Buckingham Palace Garden Party being held in 2008. The Lord Chamberlain has taken the view that invitations are in recognition of past service and it is therefore appropriate that councils should nominate a Chairman (Parish Council) or Mayor (Town Council) having given "service of recognition" to their community. Nominations are required by 5th September, 2007 and the draw will be made at the EALC AGM on 19th September, 2007.
