ALLOTMENTS
Allotment Inspection
To receive a report from Mrs. Good regarding a recent allotment inspection.

Warwick Crescent Allotment Site
a. Chicken Coop
To receive and consider a letter from the tenants of plots 3b and 5a requesting permission to install a shared chicken coop on their plots. (copy herewith)
b. Warwick Allotments Improvements Team (WAIT) - Fence Construction
To receive a letter from WAIT regarding fence construction at the site. It was agreed to fund the provision of fencing to the total cost of £350.00 which has now been ordered for the total cost of £196.38 plus VAT.
c. WAIT - Bonfires
To receive and consider a letter from WAIT regarding Bonfires. (copy herewith)

Maldon Hall Allotment Site
a. Erection of Shed Plot 13a
Members are informed that a request to install a shed, which conforms to the required specification, has been received for plot 13a, Maldon Hall allotment site.
b. Fresh Water Top
Further to minute 11.4 of the Environment Committee meeting held on 3rd July, 2006, Members are informed that a tenant has recently installed a fresh water tap next to the water tank at the end of plot 21b which is on the main path and central to most plots. The total cost for materials were £26.99. The past Chairman and Town Clerk agreed this expenditure.

Waiting Lists
To receive and consider a report regarding waiting lists for allotment plots within Maldon. (copy herewith)
(a) to consider whether investigations should be made regarding the availability and cost of land suitable for allotments within the town.
(b) each new tenant should be limited to a single plot. The option for tenants to change to larger plots can be offered as they become available.

MALDON IN BLOOM WORKING PARTY
Representatives to Serve on the Working Party
To consider the appointment of three members to serve on the Maldon in Bloom Working Party. The meetings are held during the day.

ST. PETER'S CHURCHYARD
Interpretation Boards
To consider the draft artwork for the Interpretation Boards, designed by Chris Voisey, MDC. (copy herewith)
It is suggested that members may wish to consider the following points:
· Information regarding the Sundial be included
· Maldon Town Council name to be included under the shield

Vandalised Seat
Investigations are ongoing to repair or replace the vandalised seat in the seating recess under the Holm Oak.

Notice Board
The public notice board located within the churchyard is currently being refurbished by Maldon Rotary Club who are responsible for the board.

BUS SHELTER - ST. GILES CRESCENT
To receive and consider emails from a resident of St. Giles Crescent regarding the bus shelter located adjacent to his property. (copy herewith - member only)
For information, this shelter was installed by the Town Council in 1998 after receiving a petition of 20 names from local residents enquiring if a shelter could be installed in this location. The Plume Housing Association was advised of the Town Council's intentions and a written acknowledgement of the request was received which stated that neither they nor the resident of the adjacent property had any objection to the installation of the shelter.

DORSET ROAD AND VIKING ROAD
At the Annual Town meeting held on 23rd April, 2007, a question was raised regarding the cars parking on the green open spaces which was damaging the grass. To consider what action should be taken.
