INTERNAL AUDIT
The internal audit will take place on Thursday 20 July 2006. The report will be available for consideration at the Council meeting to be held on 24 July 2006, when the Accounts and the Annual Return will be signed.

APPOINTMENT OF INTERNAL AUDITOR
The Council's internal auditor is retiring. The Council needs to appoint a new internal auditor for the present year.

TOWN HALL
LICENSING
To approve the payment of £190 for the application for a new premises licence. The cost can be recouped by the bar charge of £25 per session from those hirers that benefit from it.

PROPOSAL FOR THE ERECTION OF A SATELLITE DISH
To consider the request from Silks Racing Ltd for a licence to erect a satellite dish on the Town Council roof, at a fee of £365 pa.

BAN ON SMOKING IN THE TOWN HALL
a) A young resident of the Town has written to the Council regarding her concerns on smoking, particularly amongst young people. Given that the Health Act 2006 makes provision for a ban on smoking in public places from 2007, the Committee is invited to consider making the whole of the Town Hall a smoke free environment by the end of 2006.
b) To consider the purchase of refuse containers for cigarette stubs, to be sited outside the entrance doors of the Town Hall.

In accordance with s.1 of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 to resolve that in view of the confidential nature of the business to be discussed it is in the opinion of the Committee advisable in the public interest that the public and press be temporarily excluded and they be instructed to withdraw.
