You are summoned to attend a meeting of the MALDON TOWN COUNCIL to be held in the CONFERENCE ROOM, Town Hall,
Market Hill, Maldon on MONDAY, 3rd APRIL
2006 commencing at 7.30 p.m. when the undermentioned business
is proposed to be transacted.
Prior to the meeting, the Mayor will be formally "Switching On" the new external lighting scheme at St. Peter's Tower and the Plume Building. Should members wish to attend please meet at St. Peters Churchyard for 7.00pm.

APPOINTMENT OF A MEMBER TO SERVE ON THE ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE
Due to the resignation of Cllr. Mrs. Williams members are requested to consider the appointment of a member to serve on the Environment Committee for the remainder of the municipal year.

MARKET HILL PUBLIC CONSULTATION
To receive a verbal report from Cllr. I. Mackenzie regarding a public consultation held on 28th February, 2006 to discuss concerns regarding Market Hill.

To note that the following letter has been received from the Divisional Commander, Mobile Support Division Essex Police which stated:
I am pleased that the presence of Mr. Adam Pipe at the public meeting was a benefit and that all parties were able to voice their opinions. The meeting provided an opportunity to explain that work is being done to assist the situation and I am sure you will be kept informed of future development.

ST. PETER'S CHURCHYARD
Post Lantern
Further to minute 79.1 of the Environment Committee meeting held on 13th March, 2006, to help facilitate the completion of this project, members are requested to consider the quotation in the sum of £1,662.00 plus VAT from Abco Electrical supply and to fit a Torino post lantern with a single head for a sodium lamp in St. Peter's Churchyard.

Wood Sculpture
Further to minute 79.2 of the Environment Committee meeting held on 13th March, 2006 to receive and consider a quotation in the sum of £1,125.00 from Peter Leadbeater, for a carving of a monk using the tree trunk at the rear of St. Peter's Churchyard. Mr Leadbeater is a sculpture and maker of contemporary furniture and a copy of his CV and photographs showing examples of his work will be available for inspection at the meeting.

SHAPING THE FUTURE - PUBLIC CONSULTATION
To receive and consider from the North Essex NHS Mental Health Partnership a summary of the Foundation Trust Formal Consultation document and response form. A full copy of the document is available for inspection in the office or can be viewed or downloaded from www.nemhpt.nhs.uk. (copy herewith - members only)

TOWN CENTRE MANAGEMENT BOARD MEETING
To receive the minutes of the Maldon Town Centre Management Board Meeting held on 22nd February, 2006. (copy herewith - members only)

Further to the Finance and General Purposes Committee meeting held on 27th March, 2006, to approve the recommendation that the Town Council's budget for the Town Centre Management Service for 2006/2007 be utilised to extend the existing service until 30th September, 2006, subject to the conclusion of satisfactory written agreements between Maldon District Council, the Chamber of Trade and Commerce and the Town Council.
