Maldon Hall Allotment Site
a. Re-Placement Fence - Maldon Hall
The front boundary fence has now been successfully installed.

b. Track
Volunteers have been repairing the path by laying down road chippings. They hope to complete the entire length of the path adjacent to the boundary hedge before the spring.

c. Gates
Members are informed that after investigations regarding the scrap value of the old entrance gates, with the agreement of the Chairman and Town Clerk, a donation of £20.00 has been accepted for the old gates to be removed from the site.

d. Shed - Plot 40a
A request has been received from a tenant for permission for the erection of a shed on the above plot. (information available at the meeting)

Friends of Leech Memorial Garden
a. To receive the notes of the informal coffee morning held on 2nd December, 2005.
b. To receive a verbal report regarding a further meeting held on 21st January, 2006.

CHURCHYARDS
All Saints' Church - Parish Light
Further to minute 56.1 of the Environment Committee meeting held on 11th November, 2004 members will recall that a request had been received requesting the installation of an additional Parish Light in Church Walk. After discussion the matter was deferred until after the Planning Appeal for the All Saints' Annex was resolved. The application has now been refused by the Planning Inspectorate but the Inspector indicated that an alternative location for the Annex could be investigated. Members are requested to consider whether to install a Parish Light in Church Walk. For information, positive responses had been received from the owners and tenants of the properties in Church Walk regarding the installation of an additional light.

St. Peter's Churchyard
a. External Lighting
Members are informed that the electrical contractor is still awaiting the arrival of the light fittings.

b. Vandalism
Members are informed that the white wooden bench which was sited in St. Peter's Churchyard has been destroyed and graffiti has been sprayed on the side garden wall which it is hoped the Handyman can remove. For information the Police have been notified of this matter.

Due to the fact that the next Maldon in Bloom Working Party meeting is not being held until March, to receive and consider the following quotations for the printing of 4700 copies of the 2006 Maldon in Bloom competition leaflet:

POETS ESTATE
To consider a quotation to install 2 litter bins on the Poets Estate. Members are informed that the Maldon District Council has purchased these bins for the Poet's Estate Residents Associates but will not pay for their installation. (report to be circulated at the meeting)

MALDON DISTRICT GREEN SPACES CONFERENCE - 1ST APRIL, 2006
Notification has been received from the Liveability Development Manager, Maldon District Council regarding the second Maldon District Green Spaces Conference being held at the Three Rivers Country Club, Cold Norton on Saturday 1st April, 2006 between 10 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. To consider the nomination of a representative to attend the Conference on behalf of the Town Council.
