Further to minute 164.2 of the Town Council meeting held on 5th April, 2004 to receive the following letter of thanks from The Rev. Canon David Atkins regarding Ascension Day:
Many thanks for your help on Ascension Day. All those who came have made comments along the lines of "It gave a whole new meaning to the day!" As an experiment it seems to have worked.
Could you therefore pass on my thanks to the appropriate Committee for allowing us access to the Moot Hall. It was much appreciated and express our hope that we may be able to repeat the experience on Ascension Day 2005 (May 5th!)
