MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON 26th APRIL, 2004
The minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 26th April 2004 were confirmed and signed as a true record.

ROAD SAFETY WORKING PARTY
(a) Further to the Council meeting held on 10th May 2004, members noted that Cllrs Mackenzie, Matthams, Prior, Savage and Swallow were elected to serve on the Road
Safety Working Party and that the next meeting would be held on 1st June 2004.
RECOMMENDED: that the information be noted.
(b) Notes
Members received and considered the Notes of the Road Safety Working Party meeting held on 26TH April 2004.
Cllr. Mrs. Riesebeck reported that there had been another accident at Lime Brook Way and discussion ensued regarding the article placed in the Maldon & Burnham Standard. The Chairman said he had hoped that the map showing the clusters of accidents would have been included with the article but apparently there had not been space.
Cllr. Mackenzie expressed concern about Town Councillors discussing matters with the press prior to consideration or decisions being made by the Town Council.
RECOMMENDED: that the Notes of the Road Safety Working Party meeting held on 26th April, 2004 be noted.
(c) Attendance of County Councillor
Further to minute 228.b of the Planning Committee meeting held on 15th March 2004, and minute 158 of the Town Council meeting held on 5th April, 2004 members noted that County Councillor Bass was unable to attend a scheduled Town Council meeting as they clashed with other meetings and he had suggested that a Special meeting be arranged for a Wednesday or Friday evening.
RECOMMENDED: that the information be noted and arrangements be made for a Special Meeting of the Town Council to be held on a Wednesday or Friday evening.

Members received and considered from Street Naming and Numbering, Maldon District Council information that Wenlock Way Limited had proposed that the site rear of 77 High Street, Maldon be named "Wenlock Way".
RECOMMENDED: that the Town Council has no objection to the development at the rear of 77 High Street, Maldon being named "Wenlock Way".
