Sheds
Further to minute 94.3 of the Environment Committee meeting held on 8th March, 2005 to receive and consider correspondence from a tenant of the Warwick Crescent allotment site regarding the installation of a shed on his plot. (copies herewith)

Brickhouse Farm
Further to minute 94.4 of the Environment Committee meeting held on 8th March, 2005 members will recall that it was agreed that the permanent compost bins at the Brickhouse Farm site should be removed in the Spring and the area be cleared. In this respect, members are reminded that a Working Party to remove the waste has been arranged for Saturday, 30th April, 2005 commencing at 9.30 a.m. To date four tenants have indicated that they are able to attend. Members are informed that the Administrative Assistant is unable to attend the Working Party.

Warwick Crescent
Members are informed that a tenant of the Warwick Crescent site has reported that acts of minor vandalism have occurred at the site.

LAND TO THE REAR OF WASHINGTON COURT
Further to minute 102 of the Environment Committee meeting held on 8th March, 2005 to receive and consider a verbal report from Cllr. Mrs. Game regarding access to the area.

Longship Way
Parking
Further to minute 97.1.2. members are informed that the narrow entrance to the houses has now been tarmaced by residents and the situation regarding the refuse collection vehicle will continue to be monitored.

Ash Tree
A member of the public has reported that a self sown Ash tree is growing next to his garden fence which borders the Longship Way amenity area and is now causing damage. In this respect, members are requested to consider obtaining quotations for the removal of the tree. Members may find it helpful to view the tree, which is near the recently pollarded Ash tree, prior to the meeting.

Gloucester Avenue
Members are informed that it has been reported that cars and a caravan have been parking on a green area at the junction of Gloucester Road and Essex Road. Although this area is the responsibility of Essex County Council, the grass is cut by the Town Council as part of the Ground Maintenance Contract. District Councillor Kelly has contacted the Town Council regarding this matter and has advised that the District Enforcement Officer has been made aware of the situation.

Top Downs Road
A member of the public informed the office that the seat at the top of the footpath from Downs Road is being used as a meeting place for youths and has requested that the bench be removed from the site. This is an area which the Town Council maintains as part of the Ground Maintenance Contract.

ST. GILES RUINS
Members are informed that it has been reported that a Buddleia is growing from the top of a wall at St. Giles Ruins. The Handyman has indicated that, due for health and safety reasons, he is unable to remove the shrub and in this respect members are requested to consider a quotation from the Ground Maintenance Contractor in the sum of £30 plus VAT for the removal of the buddleia.

EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC
In accordance with s.1 of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 to resolve that in view of the confidential nature of the business to be discussed it is in the opinion of the Committee advisable in the public interest that the public and press be temporarily excluded and they be instructed to withdraw.
