LOSS OF LLOYDS TSB BRANCH IN THE HIGH STREET
At the request of Cllr Almond, to consider writing to Maldon District Council regarding the closure of the Lloyds TSB branch at 75b High Street, which had provided access for the disabled. The Town Council had commented on the application for alterations to the Lloyds TSB branch at 68 High Street that, as it was not possible to provide disabled access at that site, the branch at 75b High Street should remain in use.

PUBLIC SURVEY ON HIGH STREET
Further to minute 59.1 of the Town Council meeting held on 9th August, 2004, the Special Council meeting and Town Council meeting held on 5th October, 2005, as the road works have now been completed to consider whether the following should be publicised in the local press in respect of pedestrianisation of Maldon High Street.
"The Town Council is seriously concerned about the amount of traffic in the High Street:
a. Have you any views on pedestrianisation - Where from? Where to?
b. When - i) 24 hours;
ii) whilst shops are open.
Access for buses that stop in the High Street, taxis and the emergency services would not be affected".

LOCAL AUTHORITY SCHOOL GOVERNOR
Further to minute 145.2 to receive the following response from the Clerk to the Governing Body, All Saints' Primary School:
I refer to your letter dated 16th February, concerning Cllr. William Prior. I do not think that there will be a need for another councillor to be appointed in his place. All governing bodies are in the process of re-constitution and it appears that in the future different categories of governor will be required.

POLICY STATEMENT AND OBJECTIVES - ANNUAL REVIEW
Further to minute 141 of the Town Council meeting held on 9th February, 2004 to undertake a review of the Town Council's Policy Statement and Objectives.

COUNTY AND PARISH - WORKING TOGETHER
Further to minute 160 of the Town Council meeting held on 14th February, 2005 to receive and consider an analyse of responses from Cllr. Susan Flack on behalf of the County and Parish Report Successor Group regarding the report entitled, "County and Parish - Working Together". (copy herewith)

A CODE FOR THE FUTURE
To receive and consider a letter from the Chair of the Standards Board for England and a copy of a consultation paper on the review of the Code of Conduct members entitled, "A code for the future". Members to note that the deadline for a response is 17th June, 2005.

MOOT HALL REFURBISHMENT
The Essex Environment Trust has agreed to provide a grant towards the refurbishment of the Moot Hall. The offer is conditional on the Town Council entering into the standard agreement with the Trust by 29 April 2005.

OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER
Further to the letter of the Town Clerk dated 25th February, 2005 to consider the following documents from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister:

b) Vibrant Local Leadership.
Members to note that it would be appreciated if you would please bring your copy of these documents to the meeting, as no spare copies are available.

To receive and consider a letter from the Minister for Rural Affairs and Local Environmental Quality regarding the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Bill. Supporting information from the NALC is also attached for information.
