(b) To receive the report of the Road Safety Working Party on the achievements of the Working Party to date.

(c) To make recommendation to Council for a Highways and By-ways Sub-Committee.
(d) At the request of Cllr Mackenzie the Town Council to consider asking the District Council/Essex County Council whether a survey can be undertaken whilst the top of the High Street is closed to traffic to ascertain the viability of pedestrianisation or one way traffic.

MALDON DISTRICT REPLACEMENT LOCAL PLAN PROPOSED MODIFICATIONS
Further to minute 175 of the Planning Committee meeting held on 21st February 2005, to note that a copy of the Proposed Modifications, Statement of Decisions and Sustainability Appraisal regarding the Maldon District Draft Replacement Local Plan will be available at the meeting. It is suggested that members have loan of the documents and this item be on the agenda of the Planning Committee meeting to be held on 21st March.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 - SECTION 247
PROPOSED STOPPING UP OF HIGHWAY LAND AT 9 MASEFIELD ROAD,
MALDON
Further to minute 211.a.1 of the Planning Committee meeting held on 1st March 2005, to note that the Secretary of State proposes to make an Order under section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 in respect of highway land at 9 Masefield Road, Maldon. Members will recall that the Town Council had no objection to the planning application to change the use of the land to residential.

Notification has been received that Gary Christopher and Clare Marie Fearn of the Swan Hotel, High Street, Maldon are to apply for a Public Entertainment Licence (Full Music and Dance, until midnight, not including Sundays)
