MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON 16TH JUNE, 2003
Members received and considered the minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 16th June 2003.
(a)Min 29.a.7 - TEL/MAL/03/00626
Cllr Savage said that the note in italics following the resolution of Minute 29.a.7 should be included on the agenda of the next Planning Committee meeting as he felt the information was incorrect and required further discussion. Some members expressed the view that it was not necessary to discuss the item further however, after further discussion Cllr Mrs. Riesebeck proposed that Minute 29.a.7 be accepted and the section in italics regarding section 17 of the Crime and Disorder act 1998 be referred to the next meeting.
RESOLVED: that (a) the note following the resolution of Minute 29.a.7 regarding Section 17 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 be included on the agenda of the next Planning Committee meeting;
(b) in all other respects the minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 16th June 2003 be approved and signed as a true record.

Further to minute 6.a.2 of the Planning Committee meeting held on 19th May 2003, members recalled the following comments were made regarding the above application: that the Town Council objected to this application as the proposed materials to be used were out of character with the surrounding properties, members felt that slate roof tiles and yellow stock bricks would be more suitable.
A letter had been received from the Maldon District Council stating that the applicants had agreed to use natural slate roof tiles and yellow stock bricks and on that basis considered that the objection to the proposal had been overcome.
