FOOTPATHS
Further to minute 45 of the Planning Committee meeting held on 22nd July 2002, members received and considered a list of footpaths requiring attention (copy circulated to all members of the Council).
Discussion ensued and it was
RECOMMENDED: that the list of footpaths requiring attention be forwarded to Mr. S Broad, Transportation and Operational Services, Essex County Council with the addition of details of a hole in the path at Granger Avenue.

PLANNING APPEALS, PERFORMANCE AND PROCEDURES
Members received a copy report from the Chief Planning and Development Services Officer, Maldon District Council to the Planning and Licensing Committee meeting held on 3rd October 2002.
Cllr Thain drew members attention to item 6.1 of the report regarding the Councils success record on planning appeals.
RECOMMENDED: that the information be noted.

Further to minute 89 of the Planning Committee meeting held on 16th September 2002, members noted that the above application had been withdrawn.
Cllr Savage informed members that he had received a letter regarding the above application and felt that it had possibly been withdrawn for various reasons including the fact that a number of people had not been consulted including the coastguard.
RECOMMENDED: that the information be noted.

JUSTICES LICENSE
Notification had been received that (a) Nigel Ronald Miller of Cross Road, Maldon had applied for a Transfer of License in respect of the Yardarm, 185 High Street, Maldon for the sale of intoxicating liquor of all descriptions, to be held at the Court House, Witham on 11th November 2002;
(b) Stephanie Jane Valentine and Paul Alexander Jeffries both of Church Street, Maldon had applied for a Justices License in respect of the Sailing Barge "Hydrogen", The Hythe, Maldon for the sale of any intoxicating liquors for consumption either on or off the premises to be held at the Court House, Witham on 14th October 2002.
