AUDIT AND ASSESSMENT OF PLANNING SERVICES
Further to minute 185 of the Planning Committee held on 17th February 2003, to receive and consider the following response from The Chief Planning and Development Services Officer, Maldon District Council:
Thank you for your letter of 18th March.
It is often the most straightforward questions that are the most difficult to answer.
With Gavin Kingsnorth I am currently working on an "action plan" to put into practise the recommendations of the report. Communication, by definition, is a two way process. I anticipate therefore that we will conclude that we need to visit a number of Local Councils to understand better what the Local Councils need from our services and where they see the need for improved communication. In other words, I think we firstly need to ask you.
If you would volunteer to help us in this we would be pleased to attend one of your forthcoming meetings.

CAR PARKING - DOCTORS SURGERIES
Further to minute 197 of the Planning Committee meeting held on 3rd March 2003, to receive a response from the Practise Manager, Longfield Medical Centre.

MALDON DISTRICT DRAFT REPLACEMENT LOCAL PLAN
Further to minute 206 of the Planning Committee meeting held on 17th March 2003, (a) Mr. Cook, Maldon District Council has been contacted regarding the matter raised by Cllr Savage and a copy of the Public Notice was forwarded to him.
Mr. Cook has subsequently responded saying that English Nature are fully aware of the proposals contained in the notice and there will be an improvement and increased capacity to store.
(b) to receive a copy of a report which gives the results of a Customer Feedback Survey regarding the Maldon District Replacement Local Plan First Deposit.

SITE ADDRESS: Plot Adj. to 7 Granger Avenue, Maldon
REFERENCE NO: FUL/MAL/02/01255
APPEAL REFERENCE NO: APP/X1545/A/03/1111878
DESCRIPTION OF DEVELOPMENT: Proposed detached dwelling and garage.
Information has been received from the Secretary of State that an appeal has been made in respect of the above site against the decision of the district Council to refuse planning permission for the above development. The appeal is to be decided following a hearing. You will be advised of the date and location of the hearing when this has been arranged.
Members are reminded that the Town Council objected to the above application due to loss of greensward and hazardous access.

LICENSE TRANSFER
Notification has been received that James Greaves of The Green, Diss, Norfolk is to apply for a License Transfer in respect of the Safeway Store, Wycke Hill, Maldon, to be held in The Courthouse, Newland Street on 14th April 2003.

PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT LICENCE
Notification has been received that Maldon Town Council are to apply for a Licence for Music and Dancing in respect of the Town Hall, Market Hill, Maldon.

ITEMS (copy, report herewith) are available
for inspection at the Town Hall during normal office hours.
At the conclusion of the meeting the Mayor will invite questions from members of the press and public in attendance.
