In order to sustain the award winning service and reach an increased number of people the T.I.C. has moved to Wenlock Way, the pedestrian access between Butt Lane Car Park and the High Street.
This move coincides with recognition by VisitBritain, the government body for tourism, of the excellent service provided in Maldon; it has designated Maldon T.I.C. an England Information Partner. VisitBritain will nationally and internationally promote their Information Partners of which there are only around 230.

GUIDED TOURS OF THE MOOT HALL

Every Saturday, 5^th March - 17^th December, 2pm & 3.30pm .
N.B. There will be no tour at 2pm on Saturday August, Carnival Day.

A guided tour of this historic grade 1 listed building formerly owned by the D'Arcy family.
The centre of local government since 1576.

Dating from the 15th century,
the Moot Hall has seen over 400 years of local government use.
It has a jail, courtroom and prisoners' exercise yard.
Other features include the brick spiral staircase and
magnificent views from the bell tower.
Admission £2.50 (reduced price for concessions).

SATURDAY 3^rd DECEMBER

Make Maldon Magical.
Maldon High Street. From 3.30pm.
Community event with processions celebrating the Christmas light switch-on.
Churches together choirs will proceed up the High Street
from St Mary's Church singing carols,
arriving at All Saints' Church for refreshments.
The High Street will be
closed to traffic between West Square and the junction with Market Hill.
Following the switch-on of Christmas lights there will be a
winter carnival parade along the High Street.
Street entertainment will be provided by Maldon Youth Orchestra and others.
The High Street will be lined with charity stalls,
some shops may remain open later.

Lunchtime Concert.
United Reformed Church, Market Hill.

Performance by Beaufort Wind Quartet.
